Welkom Autumn graduation at CUT Confers Five PhD Degrees. The Central University of Technology (CUT) celebrated a significant milestone during its Autumn graduations at the Welkom Campus on 4 April 2024, where five deserving scholars were conferred with Doctor of Education degrees. This celebration marked the university 20th anniversary of academic excellence.

  2. Dr. Richard Nyika
  3. Dr. Shoorai Konyana
  4. Dr. Senzeni Sibanda
  5. Dr. Edward Qhobosheane

  • Dr. Sithulisiwe Bhebhe conducted research on “Technology Integration into Teacher Education in Selected Higher Education Institutions in Southern Africa,” focusing on effective models for technology integration in teacher education.
  • Dr. Richard Nyika compared the TVET systems in Zimbabwe and South Africa regarding preparing engineering graduates for the green economy, highlighting the role of TVET in sustainable development.
  • Dr. Shoorai Konyana analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of teacher education models in Zimbabwe and South Africa, aiming to enhance teacher training programs.
  • Dr. Senzeni Sibanda explored intermediate-phase teachers’ motivation and job satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa, proposing a model for enhancing job satisfaction using technology.
  • Dr. Edward Qhobosheane investigated “Communicative Language Teaching in English as a First Additional Language: A Framework for Teacher Development in Free State,” focusing on improving communicative competence in learners.
