The 2024 Vice-Chancellor Excellence Awards took place on 05 November, recognizing individuals who have exhibited leadership, dedication, selflessness, compromise, and unwavering commitment. Prof. Henk de Jager, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic and Research, praised the recipients for their remarkable achievements, highlighting their role as inspirational figures within the CUT community.

Each winner was awarded a R30,000 cheque, which could be utilized to enhance their teaching and research endeavors.
