CUT Honours One Of The world Most Powerful Minds. This afternoon, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CUT) bestowed an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering upon Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prof. Ramakrishna, currently a Visiting Professor in CUT Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, is renowned as one of the world most influential scientific minds, as recognized by the media and Thomson Reuters in 2014 and 2015.

Prof. Ramakrishna is celebrated as the world’s foremost scientist in the field of nanomaterials, with applications spanning healthcare, energy, water, and the environment. His research over the past three decades has yielded groundbreaking contributions, particularly in novel processing techniques and understanding the functional behavior of composite materials, nanofibers, and nanoparticles.
